Why would you choose a dolly or cart over a forklift?
RPP Containers manufactures a selection of standard dollies and custom industrial carts using a steel hybrid with our premium plastic bulk containers. Utilizing an industrial cart or dolly can improve the efficiency of a manufacturing process when a hand truck or forklift is not a good option.
These items are significantly safer than forklifts since you are talking less weight and full control for operators on the line. In addition to being safer, there's a real opportunity to become more productive using carts and dollies. One way this happens is through staging – the moment a product runs out on the line, the operator can immediately move in another cart, either with a tugger or by hand. This allows products to move faster and more efficiently than with a forklift. Increase productivity even further with adjustable height utility carts, allowing an operator to work according to their workplace ergonomic requirements. Obviously, the goal is to make it easier to reach into taller bins at a quicker pace. Carts and dollies allow continuous supply to the line efficiently and help maximize productivity, allowing workers to experience less fatigue and fewer repetitive motion injuries.

With each project, we strive to refine and increase the rigidity of our carts and dollies, making them more economical, ergonomic, and able to hold up within rough manufacturing environments.
Our standard size dollies are 30 x 32", 40 x 48", and 45 x 48" sizes made using 3-gauge steel that can comfortably support 2,000 lbs. weight capacity. Powder-coated black is standard, but we offer other colors if the quantity requested is sufficient. While we do not currently offer a standard industrial cart, these custom projects are ones we have done many times.
